With the move of the ACGS Holdings catalog from the physical card catalog to the online database, we are no longer in need of this wonderful card file.
Some information about the cabinet:
Gaylord Library Card File
circa 1940-1950’s
It has 20 drawers.
The unit is made of maple wood and has stackable sections:
- two -5 drawer units over
- a 10 unit piece with the stand attached.
- This makes it easier to be moved.
- The drawers are dovetailed
- The card slide is made of metal and are all in working order.
- It measures: 47 inches high X 35 inches wide and is 26 1/2 inches deep.
