ACGS is pleased to host a free, live webinar with genealogist Nicole Gallant-Nunes, who will present two landmark research initiatives published between 2024 and 2026.
The Filles du Roi Informational and Statistical Project documents the lives of all 765 Filles du Roi (King’s Daughters) who arrived in New France between 1663 and 1673, compiling demographic, social, and biographical data to better understand their collective and individual experiences.
The Acadian Expulsion Memorial List Project seeks to identify and memorialize Acadians who died as a result of the 18th-century deportations. With the final installment released in May 2026, over 5,545 individuals have been documented.
In this presentation, Nicole will discuss research methods, statistical insights, and selected case studies, and will explain why these projects matter for historians, genealogists, and descendants connected to early French North America.

About the speaker
Nicole Gallant-Nunes is a professional and genetic genealogist based in Massachusetts with more than 20 years of experience specializing in Acadian, French-Canadian, and early New England ancestry. Through her genealogy business, Treasured Trees Genealogy Services, she has assisted hundreds of clients with diverse research projects.
Nicole is a frequent speaker, an active contributor to early Acadian profiles on WikiTree as part of the Acadians Project, as well as to the Filles du Roi Project. She most recently focused on her Acadian Expulsion Memorial List Project, an ongoing effort to identify and document every Acadian who died as a result of the Acadian Expulsion. The project includes over 5,545 named individuals.
