We offer biannual conferences held in Manchester:
1. Spring conference generally held in April
-
- Basically, a skills workshop
- ACGS and local speakers on research and historical topics
- Held nearby with time spent in the library
2. Fall conference held the 4th Saturday in September
-
- Annual meeting and Election of officers and directors
- Regional or Canadian speakers covering broad genealogically or historically related topics
- Held at a Manchester site; library open extra hours
In-house and Outreach presentations
Held periodically and posted on our website, on Facebook and in the newsletter.
Topics include:
- Basic and intermediate French-Canadian research topics
- General and specific guidelines in starting your research
- Brick walls or Problem solving
- Discussion of sources available to the researcher. (Local archives, web sites, social media, etc.)
- What’s in a census record?? Covers Canadian and US records
