ACGS Ancestral Charts
The research department of ACGS, over the years, has researched and created ancestral charts for a large number of surnames. These charts go back, in some cases, hundreds of years back to France. We invite you to open the below index and do a search for your ancestor. In the row that you find your ancestor, go to the field called “File_Name” (first column). This is the surname file that you will find your ancestor and the rest of the surname line. If you click on the first letter of the surname you are interested in, then scroll down the list to find the surname in that list and view the ancestral chart.
We have recently received a copy of a printed work by the ACGS done in 1988 that contains 550 different ancestral charts that were completed by the ACGS Research Department between the opening of the society in 1973 to 1988. The book has a list of name and place abbreviations (pages 2-6) and an index of surnames (pages 7-12) to help with any search. We invite you to click the link below to review this resource.
